Hi,
Here is my 69" Riva Aquarama Speziale, twin- brushless outrunner&stereos equipped

Uses 2 x 10S 6000mAh Polyquest lipocells at 100A, producing apprx 3.4KW power/motor, totalling 6.8KW/9.3hp
Weight is 23 kgs, and reaches gps measured speed of 30KTS/55kmh

hannu that boat is stunning. Which plans did you build it from or is it all your own? Im considering building one of these next. Maybe not so big though..... That things huge! :o

This is kind of a ARS ( "almost- ready-to-sink") model from Vietnam, it was originally based on display models they produce there.

Well, it is using originally aircraft type outrunner motors, but designed for higher rpm in boats, 10-poles.
Type of motors are T-REX 40-700īs 700rpm/V
Manufacturer is from Germany, www.flyware.de
As they are outrunner ("rotating can"), they are cooled by mean of water circulation in nose plate of motor mount
ESC what I have used are either Sentilon High voltage 2-12S 100A (cabable up to 12 lipos in series, home-made watercooling mod.)
or Schultze 160 WK ( watercooled), so there is 4 individual cooling circuits, both escīs and motors have their own
Batteries are Polyquest XP series, either 30-50C discharge rate 4500mAh 9-series ( 1/motor),
or 10S (42V) Polyquest 6000mAh 30C, so it carries quite a pack of energy onboard. Measured highest static load it goes a bit over 100 amps,
motors top continous limit is 125A, 10 second peak 160A
Props vary from 52mm x 1.2 or 1.4 pitch, up to 54mm x 1.5, latest tested was old 15ccm deep-vee racing boat props
Shafts used are 5mm flex-type, similar ones like used in 26ccm racing class boats

Thats fantastic. Those motors though! They are REALLY expensive but they certainly make the boat shift!!

Well, expensive ,yes, but next one from for eg Lehner LMT could have been even much more, but less torque, I think in heavy speedier application they are maybe the best solution. If using gearboxes in this boat , obvious problem could have been finding enough strong and robust boxes (rpm apprx close 15.000, over 3KW)
And gearboxes allways use something about efficiency
