I see you have put a ramp in since I was last there, we used to do the 24 hr sails for the RNLI, we went twice with 2 teams, stopped when the money for the lifeboat was raised, nice lake.

We still have the RNLI race, once a year, however it is now on the sailing lake which currently has no water in it.
That ramp has bee there for as long as I can remember, you must have been with us a long time ago...

Roger, thanks very much :-)) There's more pictures etc to go on there, and I'm still grappling with youtube and google videos, but the page will remain much the same.

This was 1987, and we did one in 1989.  ;) ;)

Ooh right. We don't do that anymore. The sailing club has a 24h race every year, that what I though you meant.

I don't think anyone in the club currently would be up for staying awake 24 hours, yet alone being able to...

Hi DickyD
Looked at your boat club site. Very good but i cant see any IC boats there. I take it you can't run them there.
Andy. Maybe we should put on a IC only event at Stevenage???  What a good idea.  Any boat as long as it has a Nitro or petrol in it. Maybe Mayhem would support it???

Yeah sounds great, we'll have to talk more about it thursday, I'm up for organising it and im sure Ian would help with the bookings, what do we say, most amount of laps in an hour? Baring in mind of course we couldnt really do classes seeing as there will be many different types of boats.

Youre missing out there DickyD, the noise is quite spectacular :-))

I think you'll find that some of Dicky's boat club neighbours have complained about the noise from fast electrics in the past so what I/C would do to the relationship is anybodys guess.

The local, Peterborough, power boat boys only have two serious meets a year which seems to prevent any noise complaints.

All the best with your proposed session.
