Hi all...not sure ....but if for a model application 'paddysdad'....in OZ we would just go to an Auto supplier for a replacement windscreen washer pump.....they come in two versions...both of which are 12 Vdc

1) the gear type version ...[technically positive displacement]

2) the impeller type version...[could better if you have a fast filling leaking boat]

The latter is not intended as a joke...just think about it

Very popular with the Bait Boat Boys.

....and with inland waterways boats.  You can get them at any inland waterway chandlery.  Several of them have an on-line pesence as well.   Just one example is Midland Chandlers

www.midlandchandlers.co.uk

they also have several branches.

I just put " bilge pump " into my search engine (google) and the very first find was
http://www.boatersland.com/nobipu.html
plumbing, bilge pumps, non-automatic bilge pumps
and there is a pageful of 12 volt ones.
Next hit was

why not try the pumps the ic boys use to refuel , i have one in my tug and it works for me (a bit slow but it works) .i also have a gaupner 12v pump ,both of them are the gear type and are self priming , one word of warning if your bilges are as dirty as mine fit an in-line filter as little bit's can break your pump gears , i have found out the hard way  O0.
