Title: 600W Brushless motor - 650KV bargain
Post by: andrewh on January 07, 2009, 03:08:49 pm
While trying to source a possible motor for ChrisPs Sea Commander I came across this
http://www.micronradiocontrol.co.uk/bargains.html
on special offer at Micron

The motor is similar to the ones that Lifeboatpaul uses a pair of in his large Arun.

To get a handle on it this is more than 3/4 HP, and will be best from 12 (7800 rpm)  to 19 (12350 rpm) volts.
It will direct drive a prop that is happy at these revs - Lifeboatpaul uses 75mm props

Giantcod prices are very good for a uk supplier.

I did not look long enough for a 650kV one but the A3520-6 50A 730Kv SP is £19.11http://www.giantcod.co.uk/a35206-730kv-brushless-outrunner-motor-p-402435.html (http://www.giantcod.co.uk/a35206-730kv-brushless-outrunner-motor-p-402435.html)

A 610kv at 390gram http://www.giantcod.co.uk/41207-610kv-outrunner-brushless-motor-p-402957.html (http://www.giantcod.co.uk/41207-610kv-outrunner-brushless-motor-p-402957.html)

Stallspeed

Profound apologies for not acknowledging you helpful post - I have had a good look around this site, and indeed there is several whole ranges of BL motors, ESCs (and digital servos) at what look like competitive prices and mostly in and from the UK, too

Careful.
I doubt the escs on my link will program for boats.
