Title: Info on graffiti
Post by: gingyer on January 14, 2009, 10:39:18 pm
In another thread Norry pointed out an intersting bit of info

A recent example of this took place recently involving a Glasgow Model Boat Club...
The Club in this case were trying to get their Clubhouse smartened up by the Local Council prior to a rather large model boat event taking place at their venue...
The Council were reluctant to carry out the work due to costs, But when the Council were informed that Someone had painted "Swastikas" on the walls of their Clubhouse, A  complete paint job was carried out within 48 hours..

It was true and in Scotland (I expect it to be the same in most places) If there is graffiti that is of an offencive nature (Racist or similar) it HAS to be removed with in
48hrs once reported. So if some brain dead idiot has sprayed something on your club house walls that fits the bill then give the council a call and report it if it is their property it is them how have to get it removed or painted over.

P.S. it may be a cheap way to get the club house repainted %)

these guys make good stuff and it works. You might want to consider it is the council wont repaint or isnt responsible for your building or whatever. I bought some when my car was spray bombed by some punks took the paint off without hurting the cars finish.
