Was a relative of mine, my nan wants to know what the cap badge is, anyone know?

Any help greatly appreciated

Cant make it out very well,  can you describe the motif, and is this 1WW or 2WW ?

ie If its a clenched gauntlet fist ...it may be the early "Tank Regiment" cap badge.

The shape is like the Bedfordshire Regt. But without detail it could be any regt.

If you don't have a cap badge anywhere, do you have a record of his service number?
Often it is on the back of a photo, or on a letter or its envelope.

If you do then his service record should be traceable.

One way is to give the persons name to the army records office and they might tell you his service record
