The stuff they use in the USA does the business.  It has to be able to stick to a wet surface and STAY THERE!
Jon Wright at Jotika sells it.

I have been using 3M electrical tape. Does not come off when wet, but will peel off when you want it to.

It comes in a range of colours.
Black
White
Yellow
Blue.

A lot ( I was going to most)
of our fast electric racers use Sellotape 'Diamond tape' or other versions of this. The biggest problem with electrical tape, is that some types don't stick when the weather is very cold. I have also used electrical tape in the summer with as allready stated colour coded matching. Mine was of course Yellow.  :-))

If you can't get the Sellotapte diamond, then good quality elctrical tape may well do.

I recently used the 3M in temperatures of about 1-2 degrees. It stuck OK.

The reason I mentioned 3M electrical tape is that some cheaper ones are, well, cheap. ;D

Talking of TAPE , just spoted this stuff on knee Hay  190281227047. I think you have to buy 10 rolls. You could always stick the rolls you don't want back on knee hay
