Found some interesting pics on Ship Nostolga site. Best one is a couple of steam tugs in colour, very evocative of the time any one any idea where it is , to me it is the Forth or Milford Haven anyone any ideas.

Correct me if I'm wrong - that's an old Leander being towed isn't it ?
Sorry but can't help with locations.

Stupid me, somehow I left of the photo I was talking about, sorry all.

now that looks like one of Knights tugs alongside so could she be leaving the medway?
-
Could be, not sure, but I believe some of the class did pay off at Chatham for razor blades. What I am interested in is the colour paddler photo, as it reminds me of the Forth. I know they had the Swarthy there for some time, wondered if they are shufffling the grey funnel around to Inverkiething for razors. I am interested as I have for some time tried to find the port colours for the bulwark in PAS times.

hi the forth pic down from top is portsmouth harbour in top left hand corner is the gosport ferry the other pics look like the same place to with ports down hill in the back grond

I have just looked carefully at the LTCTC being towed away and I recognise the spit as you leave Garelock (Faslane). Looking at the coloured photo it looked like Scotish buildings. Never mind I hope the photo's are of interest to some people.

Perhaps she was re-named "Vulcan" and sunk in the Solent to act as a test bed for things that go bang in the night.
