reading a 1956 book by vic smeed[ five shillings ] that you had to have a licence costing one pound if you had a remote control boat  i wonder if it will ever be brought back  and what price

Licences for R/C are a thing of the past. Even full size yacht radio licences are free these days.

I used to have to pay for an RC Licence... Until CB (C**p Band) arrived in the UK...  >>:-(

Bought one in the mid 70's then said sod it. I was getting interference from the trucks on the blue band.
