Hy Guys
I have just bought a tin of Plasticote Primer with the intention of primeing the deck housing on one of my tug builds. On reading the instructions ( when I got it home) it says suitable for garden furniture ect but not soft plastics. I have two questions... .. would Plasticard/Styrene be described as a hard or soft plastic, and is Plasticote Primer suitable for Plasticard/Styrene
Many thanks

I think they mean materials like polypropylene and polythene by the term "soft" plastics. The only thing I can suggest is to try it on some scrap material first.
Beware Polykote Clear. The stuff I used went very yellow very quickly.

I have been using Plasticote paints recently and found that they don't seem to set hard. Maybe the current weather conditions. No such problems with Halfords paints though. Dicky D uses Plasticote a lot so maybe he can shed some light on it. Am I not shaking the cans hard enough?

Hi I normally use the Plastikote Super primer and have not had a problem. This of course is not the one you have.
Might I suggest you give them a ring on their helpline 01223 836400. :-))
