Title: MP3 players
Post by: Rex Hunt on February 08, 2009, 08:17:35 am
I have heard it suggested that it is possible to remote operate an mp3 player for sound effects.

Can anyone please shed light on how this may be done successfully?

Yes,

I have an Ipod and sound dock, which I operate using a Harmony Universal Remote Control unit. It will switch it on, off, operate volume and select next or previous track, from a good distance away (15 meters or more).

It can be done , "Fireboat" on this forum has succesfully done it and intergrated into his r/c unit., might be worth dropping him an email.
