No good if you fell out with your neighbour, you'd have to have pond border patrol, maybe an RC police launch, and fishy passports in case your fish crossed over. :}

50 YEARS AGO WORKED ON A SEWARAGE SYSTEM OUT AT SEA FOR BLACKPOOL COUNCIL !!those were the days!!.

Indeed we do - it all gets pumped to Fleetwood, treated and then gets shoved half way to Eire as a result of the big scheme that started after the 1978 floods.  Having said that, it has been many many years since I intentionally walked on the beach.  I well remember looking out of the penthouse office windows (a large portacbin strapped to the Post Office roof) at brew time and seeing the slick of "stuff" at the appropriate state of the tide before the new plant came into action- that would be the early '90's.  However, it was NEVER green.
