Post by: boatmadman on September 30, 2006, 03:39:24 pm
Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to accurately mark out for drilling, 3 points on a pcd of 21/32 nds?

Thanks in advance

This is the standard formula used in engineering taken from my Zeus Precision Tables ( buy a copy from your local engineeering suppliers, worth their weight in gold!!!)

If you can't measure to the accuracy required by the formula, use a compass (geometric not magnetic) set to the radius of the circle and mark off radii on the circumference using each point marked to mark the next. This will give six equidistant points on the circumference. Pick 3 alternates and Bob's you aunt's husband.

Hope this makes sense.
