Card through the letter box yesterday.
"We have a letter for you but needs 27p postage costs + £1.00 handling fee. please collect from sorting office."
Goes to sorting office this morning, paid the £1.27 collected letter, open letter, it's from the bank;
'A cheque you've paid in has bounced!'
Thank you very much! - Annoyed or wot! >>:-(

I would demand the full sum in compensation from the bank.

Plus a £700,000 per annum pension - I've heard they are easy to come by....

Didn't FLJ complain about a customers cheque bouncing :}

What bank martin? It's not he royal mail at fault, it's your bank being cheap and the guy who give you the cheque.
I know buisnesses that won't take cheques, full stop.
But you cheapskate bank needs a nameing a shaming!

I bet it was a malfunction on the franking machine.
I once had to pay the same for a letter thanking me for my help at setting up the steering course for a regatta. Chuffed not! >>:-(
The guy apologised but that was all!
