Yep, that's the ones - where does that one live - bloody things are as elusive as the real ones!
Have you any more pictures?
-
Yep loads more pics if your interested.
She is Vanguard, I scratch built her in 1998 and she appeared on the front cover of model boats in April that year with a six page centre spread, she has a scratch built 120mm Acrylic dive module with a RCABS system.
The markings were a pig to find in fact they were non existant, so I made my own from something called letraset you used to be able to buy sheets of numbers and letters in various scales and colours, try a good artists / craft supplier or stationers, they do them but i think the stock is limited though. :-))
Hear are a few more pics. :}

Nice Work, I notice you fitted a standard Prop - I have the advantage of the Propulsor from OTW.
I've gone with a water pump system - also home made. Do you still sail her?
I'll probably finish up making the draft marks. - More Pictures the better, V Boats are as rare as hens teeth!

Hi,
The prop is actually a 10 bladed prop shop special that runs in a cone, unfortunately when I built her you could not get any info on that part of the boat, it was still top secret stuff but I get a hell of a lot of thrust out of that prop and it doesn't get clogged either..
I sail her regularly and she still performs well, needs a bit of a re-paint now, I have admired the ally propulser on you build,,,,,,may have to get one of those thingy's.
They are rare which is good as not every one has a V boat, They are instantly recognisable though to anyone who knows and I have had people come up to me whilst sailing telling me they served on one which is great.
May you always surface the right way Up ! :-))
Regards Sub.

I'm actually building Vanguard because my son's currently serving on her - so I have to get it right!

The propulsor is still top secret stuff, so modellers have to give it a best guess. Paul, if you have access to a colour printer, you can buy sheets that enable you to make you own dry transfers- http://www.craftycomputerpaper.co.uk/products-Dry-rub-off-decal-paper_159.htm

THat'll do nicely, I'll get some of the clear stuff & see how I get on, I did think up making Decals like the old kit ones, there are companies who sell that stuff as well, but in the past they've always come out a bit pale on anything but white backgrounds.
