.... still lousy cold here, but nothing had stopped us to make after 2 years the Mayden Voyage of this HMS Dreadnought.
The hull was fibreglass-casted, deck single planked, turrets and secondary armament resin-casted and all the superstructure, masts and small fittings are made out of modelers-gold= Brass.
Now we have to do completement tonight as we have a show in Germany which runs `till Sunday.
Happy modeling,
Jörg

... don`t get me wrong folks, it`s not my boat. My best mate had made it, I was just assisting some items and making the patterns and moulds. As we use to work together on big projects we shared the job. More effective and brings a better result.
I was just adding the pics as they might be (hopefully) out of interest.
But glad that you like it anyway.
Now all the boats are stored in the car, all the... "aqua vitae" packed in the bag- I will leave tomorrow for the show. I meet up there with my shipmates from the SWA, for being exhibitors at this show. Imagine that: 5 days of nuffink else but talking about modeling, enjoy yourself with the lads, no women around... phew! This must be paradise! :D
This show attracts approx 70 000 visitors in 4 days, one of the bigger venues in Germany.
Next week then last meeting with the lads and lasses from the NHO, Stuff-manager and Union-leader about my return to the job, fortunately there is a return for me.
So now offline until sunday eve,
Happy modeling,
Jörg
