i might be codemming it on hearsay, but  have heard builders say that it is tender in anything but calm still sailing. :((
i've only ever seen them sail on flat calm waters.

Wallace,

I have the Resolve. The model is not too difficult to build, though the first time builder might find it so at times. access to the motors, radio and batteries is tricky if you have rigged it properly though, with care and aforethought, it can be done. It is a fairly heavy model when down to her marks, I really don't know were NHP gets the idea that she is tender, anything but, is the actuality.

I have sailed her in all weathers and conditions including Windermere without the slightest problem or anxiety.

My version is for sale BTW complete and ready to run.

I have a Resolve and find it about the same as most other warship kits.  Having a lot of white metal fittings high up the Resolve does heel in turns but no more than any other and, as with them all, it's a case of getting the ballast right.  Mine has a 12v 7ah battery laid on it's side in the bottom and, along with the JJC smoke unit that's about the lot.

It is a superb kit to build though with a very high degree of detail and some very nice quality fittings so I'm sure you will enjoy making it.  You also have the Slipways Envoy Class and Assurance Class models to choose from.  The Envoy Class is a bit more stable but again a lot of weight high up but it has a deeper and beamier hull.  Once again though lovely kit with very nice detail and makes into a lovely model.

Here's a comparrison shot:
