Title: RTR tug Southampton (Wyeforce) anyone detailed one?
Post by: ixion on March 22, 2009, 04:24:22 pm
Hi,
I have a RTR Southampton which I would like to detail. I know a few people on here have the model but has anyone detailed one up (I don't mean a total respray). Anyone out there do detail parts in 1:36 scale or close? Also has anyone got any pictures of the rear deck of tugs I can use for inspiration.
Thanks

Hello!

I have a deck crane from wingertaz on ebay on the rear deck of mine.

Mac's Mouldings do appropriately sized fire equipment, oil drums, oildrums under tarps etc...

Their site is in the Trader's Directory on the portal front page of this very site (!)  ok2

I spot a Robbe lifeboat pod on the rear bridge too...

You could also take a look at Mobile Marine Models in the Traders' Directory, all of Brian's tugs and fittings are at 1/32.

Thank you for the replies and pictures, some good stuff there for me to think about. Does anyone have any pictures of the real WYEFORCE tug. I have searched the web and only found one poor picture. Considering there are models of it available picures of the real thing seem lacking!
Thanks.
