well, sorry to say, if they did do what the radio transmissions say, they deserve to be disqualified.
just plain and simple cheeting, whowever did it.
NOT BRITISH, ol' boy.
You wouldn't have found Stirling moss or Jackie Stewart doing that sort of thing. >>:-( <*<

On a more serious note, there is ABSOLUTELY no cuedos in winning by cheeting and I can't understand anyone of their professionalism thinking so.
no self esteem if they feel diferent.
Also reputations take a long time to recover if they think it was worth it for just 2 points at the start of a season.
Sadly I feel let down and disgusted as a fan, no matter what team is involved, and this time I think the FIA got it right for once.

OOOHHHHH, I'm chilled, circlip........cool as a cucumber,

But after all the belly aching McKlaren did last year about unfairness........they have to lower their standards to that of th FIA and Ferarri,by cheeting,  >:-o >:-o, and in the first b****y race too.

Just unbelievable. %% %% %% %%

They must have been mad, and a rush of blood to the brain took over??? O0 O0

If McLaren knew that the radio conversation was incriminating, it was pure stupidity to try to gain points that they were not entitled to.  If they didn't know about recording team radio as a means of verifying appeals, thats even more stupid.  Somebody in that team must have decided on a truly different way of giving his notice, or perhaps he was working his notice.
Well done the FIA for stomping the cheating.  Lets hope they keep it up in an even handed manner for the rest of the season.

Tis sport is fast losing ALL credibility. With all the argument and disputes going on and now you can't be sure of a result for days after the race has finished. They need to get their act together somehow......Disgraceful..

But who said what on the radio to whom and when?

There's nothing in the Autosport link that tells us what the actual 'offence' was about. Perhaps it's just a teaser so I have to go out and buy the mag today to see what really happened.....

from what i can gather, hamilton was no where near fast enough to keep truli behind him for his 3rd place, with the last few laps of the race to go,so when the safety car was deployed after kubica and vettel crashed, mcklaren told hamilton over the radio to ease off and truli passed him, thinking he [ hamilton ] was in trouble.
hamilton and mcklaren denied this when they appealed the 3rd/4th place and truli was penalised for overtaking under safety car rules.
toyota appealed and mcklaren and hamilton were found to have been misleading in their lack of truthfullness and as such disqualified basically for cheeting...the right decision in my mind, as they thought they would get 3rd place by default <*< <*< <*<
