Title: Any clubs near Ely, Cambridgeshire ? ?

Hi fellow mayhemers....

been on this forum a while now and many of you may know that i have built a few boats and posted their builds on here ( smit nederland, my springer, and currently my HMS hood ).

as i have 5 boats sitting on shelves i need a club to go to, and was wondering if anybody could help with providing any information on local clubs? any help will most appreciated.

There are 3 I am aware of:

Peterborough see www.pambc.org.uk

Fenland Model Boat Group which meets fortnightly at the Wood Green animal shelter in Godmanchester.

Cambridge - I have no further details.

Coming up is the Cambridge Model Boat Show on 13/14 June at Cambridge Museum of Technology, CB5 8LD. I think all three clubs will be represented there.

Rob,

We are a small club based around Bury St Edmunds, meet once a month, and sail at the Pakenham Water mill.
Used to be a very big club, (before my time) but lost the sailing water.
Used to be The Saxon Model Boat Club, but has dwindled now to the Saxon Association of Model Makers.

Kings Lynn Model Boat
 Meets Leziate Park Country Club Sunday and Wed 08:00 - 10:30 -on good days-12:00 But members can use the lake at any time, You can sail any thing except IC boats
Membership is £25.00 PA and gives you full use of the club House which has its own Bar (+ Bar meals) or the resterante (Carvery Most Sundays) about 30-40  Min's drive from Ely dependent on traffic
