Hi can anyone tell me what the output shaft diameter is on a Model Motors Direct 777 motor please?
I need to make a coupling and the customer doesn't know what the diameter is.

4.5mm across by only 5mm long, so you'll have to put the grub screw pretty tight into the rear of the coupling

Don't the 777 already come with a brass coupling fitted, ready to plug into the universal coupling?

They show them on their website as supplied with a brass spline already fitted for connecting to the modular type universal joint,

Well maybee Mark's customer does not like the Dyco type coupling and wants a proper coupling made instead.What tickles me is that a simple question has turned out to be a debate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not really a debate Stav, just about everyone agrees that the Dyco type are overpriced and cause far too much vibration, I don't think I've had one yet that's been spot on straight...

I don't need any more couplings at the moment, but I will go to Mark in future by the looks of things :-))

I have a couple of 777's and they have a shaft of 4.8mm which is splined A dog to get a drill bit at the time to make a coupling fit .
