I'm known for going on a bit about my daughter Anita, who's an ATC Sergeant in the RAF. I've always said that she's amazingly good at what she does, having seen her in action many times in Towers and threshold caravans on various RAF stations. Well today she proved it!
Every year Vosper-Thorneycroft Aerospace present a trophy to the RAF Air Traffic Controller who's best at their job, voted by their user squadrons, Senior ATC Officers and Station Commanders.
Well this year ANITA WON IT!!!!!!!!!
I am so chuffed it's not true!

My congratulations to you both, quite some achievement. :-))
-
Well done Anita!
... Dad, when and where's the party?

You must be (and rightly so) a very proud dad, and well done to you both.
You both deserve the praise that she has brought to you and your family.
A great achievement.

Thank you gentlemen all, it's great to share good news like this with like minded souls. :-))

Congrats to you both.
Isn't it a great feeling when one of your kids does something like this to make you proud. :-)) :-)) :-))

Well done to her for this award.
Where is she stationed ?
At the moment she's at Odiham, where the Chinooks live. Or where they WOULD live if they weren't all out in Afghanistan!
She likes it there, one of the few stations where the local controller can call 'All aircraft Odiham sector maintain current position and altitude' when things go pear shaped. :-)

My freind is at prestwick at the air trgic centre there :-))
that why I asked
Odiham was ment to be going there for a week in August but got changed for 2 weeks at Aldergrove
