Looks like a Hornet, that'll keep it going for a bit!
I think we need such a plant around here, we seem to be innundated with ruddy flies this year!

 {-) {-) {-) Venus Flytraps are one of my favourites... Funny thing is though it will happily devour whats in the trap and the rest will just fall off. :-))
