Here are a few pic of a Higgins PT Boat 1/24 scale that I have recently completed. Scratch built (1st time) with the exception of the ventilators. The hull is plank on frame using balsa strips and covered with aircraft grade fiberglass.

Lovely work Grandpal, go out get another motor and sail them together. :-)) :-)) Hope the weather picks up soon and your ice problem goes away.

Only time in Montreal was 15 minutes changing planes (don't ask). >>:-(

Great model Grandpal, the Higgins 78 is often ignored by modellers as a build choice in favour of the Elco. The later war period PT boats were both very heavily armed compared to our shorter BritishMTB designs. :-)
