Post by: boater on October 14, 2006, 09:12:21 am
Hi
Has anybody any bright ideas for the retrieving of thee daughter boat ?

The Graupner method seems a little ungainly.

Thanks

The link is for a translated page, you may have to chop bits out if it doesn't work properly.

Here is another one to have a look at, this is the one I considered for mine before I decided not to build.
It is a bit more mechanically complicated but it gives a much more realistic lift. Plus it doesn't fill the insides with the operating system.
It is in German but there are sketches to show the principle -

There is a video as well showing it in operation.

Many thanks cdsc 123 for the web link. I couldn't make the translate work ,so I pasted paragraphs into "babelfish" translator and I got there in the end. I like the look of the system and its simple, so thats what I will use.

I notice that there has been several question on various parts of the Forum regarding the internals for Adolph Bermpohl.
For what they are worth heres mine.

Sorry for the glitch. I hit the wrong key!

Center motor   Motor Direct  777 Electronize 43 S/R 12 volt Ni-cad
Wing motors Model motors direct 555  Action speed controller 9.6 Ni-cad
Drive motor for retrival mechanism  MFAGeared motor on 4,8volts (Check their web site thay have many more motors than those listed in the Mags
The hull did not give me confidence in its strength so I araldited a ally tube nearly full length as a keel.
The rest of the boat is more or less as intended.

The one I saw at Deans Marine was particularly well executed along with the Theodor Heuss.
One had the Graupner "Multi-sound" unit, although not as good as a JJC unit, it was still impressive and quite loud.

I have video clips if anyone wants them.
