have just been given a 25a sea hunter esc is it possible to test it in any way to see if it works
-
I don't know the beast but yes,
- plug it up to a load - motor or car headlamp bulb,
servo tester (ideal) or receiver
battery - suggest you start low power and volts - perhaps 6 cell nicd pack/6V lead or whatever you have
Try it
A little research seems to suggest it is the ESC supplied with Tomcats (I assume that's not the F14 :}) so it should be pretty bulletproof. I think the Tomcat has a warm 550 motor (perhaps 15 Amps) and I have seen 6 to 10 cell mentioned (effectively 6 to 12 volts)
You will now be inundated by the mayhemmers who know the sea hunter like the back of their hands :}

Electronic things usually have a "digital" functionality - they generally work or they don't
