I would like to build a tug from a f/g hull for towing / steering ,i have built many boats usually fishing boats (being a ex fishing skipper ) as its easier to build what you know but now fancy having a go at a tug i would like something around 30 " with a good beam any helpful advice would be great :-)) :-))

...Hi Zephyr...
I would recommend a "NANGEE" hull from Mobile Marine Models...At 28" long & just over 9" wide it is ideal for a good Towing/Steering Tug...
It can be built either Single or Twin Screw...
I have built about 5 tugs using these hulls...There is a build blog on the Forum of my "SCOTCH PRIDE" build...
I hope this helps & All The Best with your project...
..Best Regards...Norry...

Hi Zephyr,
How about one of Model Slipways offerings, perhaps 'Al Khubar' 31 x 9.5"

Or for a list of all the major manufacturers

You will be spoilt for choice

Steve,
What do you know about the 15/16 August Balne Moor meet that is on the MMM web site as a "tug in"? Is it going to differ from one of your normal events?
