When posting replies, etc I get a weirdness which might be because of moving to E8 (bless progress)
When I have typed to the bottom of the available box on the reply screen the "view" will not leave the first 20 or so lines. Even if I kept typing the display will be of the top of the post (first 20 or so lines)
Is it me, is it E8, or is it the Mayhem gods limiting me :} (perfectly reasonably) to short posts ?

I think it is IE8 that is the culprit. I have mentioned this before. You can use the scroll bar to see what you have typed but can't see what you are typing! It can be a bit irritating. There have also been problems with IE8 when using the Cute Editor which is used to enter text and insert images on the Model Boats site.

IE8 not getting a very good press so far, took mine off yesterday !

IE8 is trying to be too flash and too big for it's boots at the moment, so until it is fully fixed after having 20 squillion updates, you are better off just uninstalling it.
It caused major problems on my machine, not just browsing, but with programs that displayed a web page when requested. All sorts of strange happenings.
If you have put it onto an old install with IE7 as the resident browser, then just by uninstalling in the usual way, will get you back to your old browser and it's settings.
If not, you will have to download IE7 from the Microsoft downloads site and install it manually.

Same thing happens to me, I figured it was IE8 but now I know!

Had that once or twice but now all is fine
I do use IE8 and have all the updates and use compatability mode as well (some sites are ok without compat mode)
