I was in the Isle of Skye last week, took a boat trip out of Portree and we were lucky enough to see this:

It tried, but I think it failed.

These magnificent birds were re-introduced to Scotland 2/3 years ago, they were bred in Norway, and brought over here, they released some more this year, but as is the norm, the salmon fishers are complaining that these birds will threaten their livelihood, and last year farmers up around Glen Isla were complaining that these birds were targeting lambs,mm

Yeah we went from Portree, it was worth every penny to see them. The midges weren't too bad courtesy of Avon 'skin so soft' as used by the SAS!

The weather was great, warm, sunny, and only a little rain.

Came home with plenty of good malt as well!
