Hi there,
Im planning to convert my ''oceanic'' from one mech speed regulator into 2 ESC.
Info about the boat and setup.
-The boat is a 1,2m scale tug (see avatar)
-Twin motors, brushed. (not sure about the specs, but the look like what I would call a 380 size for RC cars)
-I will run 12v
-I will use one ESC on each motor, so I require Ahead / Astern as well as adjustment of the rpms.
So, Im a bit in the open when it comes to which ESC to pick. They range from 10amp up to 200amp..... How many amps do I need on my ESC?
Would this be a good one:

Any good reasonable priced ESC for this kind of scale boats?
Cheers!
:-))

I would recommend looking at Action Electronics, listed on the traders directory on this sites homepage. The owner uses this forum as Full leather jacket.
He will advise and gives great service.

I suppose his P79 or P80 would do the job... ?

Give Dave at ACTion a ring he will sort out what you need. He did it for me as I hadn't a clue and he managed to keep his sanity.
Plus you will get your Mayhem 5% discount. :-)

Cheers, appreciate that.
Any other input on this...?

The Mtronic Viper Marine 15 Plug n Play would do you, I have several, but I suggest you get them from http://www.cornwallmodelboats.co.uk/acatalog/esc.html who have a
really remarkable service and Malcolm who owns it is really helpful. Normally next day service if you order AM. :-))

Oki, sounds good. Will contact the above. Plug and play sounds good to me :-)

mtroniks are also waterproof, and very easy to use, with a repair back up facility, and more importantly uk based. not sure if 15amps is enough though, maybe someone else can also advise? They also have an esc that will power 2 motors, up to 12v, I have one, I think its called a supermarine? :-))
