Title: Princess Alexandra III Kent Police Marine Vessel
Post by: justboatonic on July 27, 2009, 09:40:03 pm
Just watching SeaPatrol UK on one of the sky tv channels and saw this boat.

Its the or one of the original, RNLI blueprints that went on to become the Tamar designed lifeboat. As such its strikingly similar to a Tamar only in Police schematics with small superstructure changes (if any!).

Got me thinking, with ModelSlipWay or Speedline's Tamar, has anyone done a conversion?

Looks a very good project

It was the prototype Tamar. Used for trials and then sold off.

The deck is different along the sides of the cabin, the production Tamars have a scalloped deck edge  like Trents and Severns.
