Neil........go backwards a few steps..........via the internet... find your desired model marine products\store\location.........& then view payment facilities
You will find that most accept 'paypal'............Derek :-))

Hi, thanks for the reply, not really very helpful to me though I am afraid.
I spent nearly an hour last night googling and trawling the net looking for somewhere that is, 1.. in the uk, 2.. look like they are not internet fly by night cowboys 3 accept paypal and 4 look like they have an interest in model boats.
I couldn't find anything.
There are specialist shops out there, I've used BRC hobbies for electric flight items, Real Raptors for helicopters, both of those companies are absolutely exemplary, both accept paypal and both specialise in their field of interest.
There must be a good UK based model boat shop offering the same sort of service out there somewhere.
If anyone has any suggestions of actual shops or websites I would be very thankful.
Thanks again
Neil

Why Pay Pal ?
-
It's secure, I don't need to type my card details into the computer, I don't have to worry about online fraud or theft of card details.
I will sometimes ring up and buy things with my card but I do prefer to start with a small order with a company that is new to me, it just isn't worth the phone / card hassle for a small order
I don't want to get into all the mire about paypal, I know some like it some don't, I just think it's a simple easy way to pay, until someone comes up with something better it's about the best we have at the moment.
To be honest I would prefer to buy locally and pay over the counter as I do with my other hobbies if I can but that isn't always possible.
All the best

Most shops that are not internet based don't use PayPal as the costs are so much higher than Credit Cards etc plus the PayPal rules ensure that you cannot guarantee a payment if a dispute is raised. Thinking about it would you use PayPal if you don't need to
I think you might struggle with this one, but good luck anyway.

I was shocked at the costs.
We were looking at using one of the big international epay systems for a business in China.
They wanted 15% of purchase value as a fee.

Many many thanks Jason just what I needed, I've placed an order.
Of course I bought more than I intended too, I really just wanted a propeller and shaft for the Bredette but bought a couple of rudder assembly's, and a gearbox and wobbly dyco thing for another project as well.
All the best to everyone who replied, I'll let you know how it goes.
Cheers
