Just wanted to say Hi to every one,
I've already had a look around a play with the search button.
Model wise I've built a couple of footy sail boats for fun, and a Wee Nip (rather over sailed now no longer class legal) at the start of the summer I got a 1/72 model slipway puffer I got her mostly built (runs in bath) when I distoryed the top cabin which I'm now replacing with wood, I then also got Glandular fever, so concentrating on small things was hard, so looking through old model boats magazines and started on a Sea helper, a small tug/pilot I was obviously very Ill when I cut out the frames but with some remedial work I have a hull and am starting on deck cabin. It will be powered by a 545 motor 6V SLA battery with a second battery for lights (and ballast) the boat is 24" long at 1/15 scale I've never built anything so large.
looking forward to more modeling in the future.
meant to say I make my living as a canoe/kayak instructor hence the avatar, and used to work as a bicycle mechanic hence the name

I haven't yet been to Greenock or the club up in Glasgow in Regents Park is it?
DickD Being from N.Ireland I want to spell it LOUGH but keep getting told off
