Hi all
I am looking for some fold up tables for use at shows something instead of wallpaer tables as these dont look very good and are not very sturdy any tips
-
What you,re needing is folding Trestle tables they usually come in 6ft, 8ft lengths they are similar in design to a pasting table, but the great thing about them is They Do Not Fold in he Middle, the table part is in one, piece either 6ft x 3ft or 8ft x 3ft ,they come in either all wood, or like the one i have here,Aluminium frame composite top, that you can have, but it all depends on where you are, cause there,s little point in getting something for nowt,if its going to cost an arm or a leg to collect it,

Or if you want to save money, make your own trestle tables.
Very easy.
All you need is timber, 4 door hinges, cord, screws and glue.
One advantage is that you can make the optimum size table top for your car/vehicle.

I've some old doors you could use.....
-
I all
I can make two trestles ie saw stools thats not a proble but i was looking for something that looks more profeshonal and if possible constructed from metal that will last and does not take up two much room in the van

A big cloth hides a lot of rough carpentry.

Send a PM to Stan, a member here. He purchased the ones we use at Kirklees for the open days and events and they are very sturdy and robust with locking legs but fold down flat for easy storage in our shed.

This is true art!!
I particularly like to almost casual juxtaposition of the beverage holder to the implied barbeque feast!
Now admit it - didn't the picture make you all think of summer evenings... !
A fine work Toes.

Anyway, you used to be able to get heavy duty decorating tables from B&Q that strong you can stand on one in the middle as they have supports to hold them together that pin. I have got a 1/96th Nimitz on one and they are very sturdy. I am not sure if they still do em, they were about 25 quid.
Paul... :-)

try looking at the following on google
shopjumbo.co.uk
diydoctor.org.uk
both these sites have strong looking tables. The £18 one at shopjumbo looks identicle to one I purchased from Homebase earlier this year, I had six boats displayed on this and it was very stable.
