Ok brother has asked one of me thats got me stumped. This smit, two engines, rudder and then bow thruster. How do we control this. With 2 channel its a simple matter for the power and rudder but im lost visavi bow thruster. Are we talking 4 channel and mixers and if so what does he need, and how does it work.

Have a read of this:

Essentially you can operate twin motors and a rudder with a 2-channel radio, but you will need a multi-channel set if you also want an operating bow-thruster. The thruster is connected to its own speed controller and operated by a third channel - usually via the LH transmitter stick, side-to-side.

You can fit Micro Swiches on Both sides of your Tiller Arm or Rudder Servo that switches the Bow Thruster on when the rudder is put Hard over to either side...
Both of your motors can be wired through one Speed Controller...
This way your tug will have a fair bit of Maouverability on a 2 Channel Radio Set...
...Best Regards...Norry...

I intend to rc convert a Revell 1/200 scale ETV Waker. Is a bow thruster necessary or even not needed for a boat so small ?
