Hi there,
Being new to boat building i have been taking my time and being over cautious to make sure things are correct. I am building a model of the Billings Mary Ann and have just glued all the frames to the keel.
Now that they have all dried off, one of the frames has moved whilst drying and is now (looking from the stern to the bow) leaning to the right.
Any suggestions on how to best rectifly this problem? I dont want to go forcing anything and possibly breaking something if there is a remedy to this problem.
Any help would be appreciated.

This must happen quite often, It's happened to me and all I did was cut it out with a sharp knife
and the glue it back in again in the correct position. If necessary glue one or two additional small pieces of wood to support it.
This is a trick I learned from Bodgitt & Leggit Boat Builders.

Although I don't build wooden hulls as such, I do build my "plugs" from wood. Mistakes happen. To avoid this happening to me again I now glue the sections with a hot glue gun, if it dries "offset" then the glue can be easily softened and the unit re-aligned. BY.

What type of glue did you use ?

I think i was lucky this time. I gently moved the frame part a small amount and it eventually released without doing any damage. I am using Express PVA to glue the wood into position. Not too sure how things would have faired if i had used a lot more glue!
