Beeswax is good for keping the hull smooth and shinny
what you want for a nice finnish on the hull :-))

I have always used Vaseline thinned down with white spirit. A ratio of around 4 parts spirit to 1 of Vaseline.

A good quality Carnauba wax (I used Mothers) followed by two to three applications of the proper PVA release agent..
