Title: Speed controller wiring colours
Post by: meechingman on October 31, 2009, 09:41:18 am
Hi

I'm about to add a bow thruster to my Smit Nederland. Rather than having just on/off switching, I intend using the speed controller that was in her when I got her - plenty of spare r/c channels.   :-)

Unfortunately I didn't make a note of the wiring colours for the 6V input and the motor output.   :embarrassed:

The speed controller just says SP1-500, no maker's name. The colours are red, black, blue, white. I'm thinking red+black for input and blue+white for output. Before I do any damage, can anyone tell me if I'm right please?

Thanks
Andy
