Title: Deans Marine HMS Daring
Post by: pneumatician on November 04, 2009, 10:19:02 pm
Help and suggestions requested.  I have just aquired a Daring Kit produced in 1992 it has sat on a members shelf for the last 17 years.  All of the bits seem to be present but the only paperwork is the main Drawing.  Should there be assembly instructions or detail pictures etc.
I have looked on the internet for D class destroyer pictures and information and it seems to be rather sparse. Can anyone point me in the right direction where to obtain info from.
I am an experienced modeller, just inexperienced in ships ( 2 so far) and the RN.

Your help and suggestions will be much appreciated.

hi  pneumatician
If you do a search of the forum and look for HMS DARING 1/72 scale ,although this is scratch built it may help you with fittings and fixtures

Many thanks. Was talking to Mr Deans betteralf  today at Leamington and she also suggested a chat to Ron.

I will make steady progress no doubt.

Hi Reefrich.
The new Shipcraft book on the A to I and tribal class is a good book for info, I bought an old half built one with a lot of fixtures missing so I am doing as an F class Convoy escort conversion to be a little different.
