Idly browsing through Janes (as you do) while looking for snooker cues on destroyers, I came across the entry for the Zahringen (Ex-Battleship 1901) being converted to a radio controlled target ship in 1934. She had a displacement of 11,800 tons, so the servos would have had to be quite big.
Then I saw it..........
She had a complement of 104............................?

I assumed that it was a more technical version of being keel-hauled.
Being the target for the odd 15" could concentrate the mind wonderfully well.
