Title: Right prop for the Korts and engine for model..
Post by: Bluechrisp on November 20, 2009, 05:40:52 pm
Hello,
Just some other questions regarding my 29" tug hull, in the picture below is this the right prop for the this Korts, if not what could be the way to go, secondly I have an odd graupner 600 to use with a 6v SLA battery, would this be to fast if so, what type of reduction gear would you recommend?

Thank you all

...Hi Bluechrisp...

It doesn.t look like a proper Kort Nozzle Propeller but then again its not a very good picture...It looks like it has rounded blades...

A Kort Nozzle Prop has flattened ends on the blades...

Here is a picture of a Kort Prop...

I hope this helps and Good Luck with the project...Norry...

on more piont , the prop looks like the plastic type which has a lot of flex if used within a kort .
If you change the prop then a brass one would be far more efficient whether it's tips are rounded or flat .

I'll have a word with the prop shop and have one ordered up, are we looking at a 4 bladed as the best, as for the other QU, the 600 being ok or fit with a reduction unit?

cheers all
