BillWell Spot ed Danny. We willhave to look at the dates again. Course If we had an OMRA news letter toremind us each mouth it would help
You may have to miss the Sunday - if you want to race at Kingsbury (DATE CLASH) <:( <:( <:(
Danny
I appreciate you holding this event for My Birthday :} But I will not be able to make it Again !!!! this year apparently <:(, But hope you all have a great time..
Larry
Yes and bring lunch! ;)
I'm so there again for you Andy
A couple of us from Norwich would like to come for the weekend (please check the ambiguity on the dates above) assuming it is Saturday through to Monday,
Rex
Some of us will be staying on and doing some sailing on the Monday (survivors of Sunday nights partying me-thinks) :-))
Is power available for those of us with 'tin tents' (medical requirement) on the campsite?
I trust we book pitches as per the Wicksteed website?
Rex
Anyone know where I can get a tied and dyed tent from?
For those who are staying over on site How about making Saturday night BBQ night sail LOUD shirts, night???
It could be a bit of fun and would look good on the web site.
I'm sure Martin has an old shirt he can let you have... :} :} :}
Oi ! <*<
I'm up for it. I don't know anyone from the forum, but would quite happily contribute some BBQ items and beer. Do you BBQ individually or as a communual group?
Everythings done as a communal group (apart from using the w/c's etc.....) ;)Yep and your incharge of the cider drinking dept {-) {-) {-) {-) {-)
is there a pass to print out to get reduced park entry fee like in the past few years. :-))
John
OMRA display
[/color]
Careful Martin, Danny'll give you an earful about that...
PS. Andy, do you fancy helping me with a simple steering course?
the hull is now doing a sterling job of supporting part of a new local housing estate
Basic site plan.
Details to follow.....
Dont think i will be sinking anything this year as only got my Pollux to sail (famous last words eh).
Are we still getting Martin style shirts for the Saturday BBQ, If so I need to get to Oxfam
Brian (starting to get a bit more excited)
You do, however, glow in the dark
bloody hell martin, that shirt, THAT shirt, did you mug huggy bear or something?
... and this years theme is... Hawaiian shirts
Got mine :-))
Now for the grass skirt and coconut {-)
Don't be silly, Phil's BBQ is steam powered!
Sounds like it could be crowded again this year, we will have to form a circle like the wagons in the old westerns :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))We could from a ring and fire Bass shandy at them.
Brian
Why are they all looking so worried?Cause someone got a belt ( electrical shock) of the battery they used to use and fell in the water. Opps :} :}
Nothing better to zing up your sandwiches at a race meeting than a nice grease/ petrol/ glowfuel/ lake water combo. I've not gone to one yet where I haven't ended up with slightly odd tasting lunch...That would explain why you are like how you are then Andy. ;) ;) To much nitro in your rolls mate ain't good for you. Now petrol on the other hand is fine.
ok2
does the voucher need to be colour or b/w. also if I print it out it comes out as the size on the screen! I scaled up to 300% in the options and that looks better!
So whose bringing what boats to Wicksteed then?

Is it de riguer to have the folded arms stance at the lakeside?
When you look like Brian "Ching", Martin D and me (i.e. thinner from the front) it helps to smooth out the side view..................maybe? :o

Hi Guys
Well it did rain and then some but it was still a good day out most of the traders attended but there were a couple of no shows
like model slipway. (Shame that)
Now a photo for a caption I think.
I will start
Suddenly after all the rain the normally shallow pond seemed a lot deeper. %% %%

So they only got caught drinking all the beer...Were there no sheep around then ?...
...Good Evening Guys...One of them was showing me a video of a chap up there with a very fast steam boat this morning. Great company at the bbq last night as well. Very nice to have meet them.

Did anyone spot the 2 Jocksters that left on Friday to attend the event...I dont see them in any of the pictures...
...Best Regards...Norry...

What's that last one?

On behalf of Luton and District Model Boat Club, I would like to say a big thankyou to Martin and ALL the Mayhem Team for a great weekend! As this was my First Mayhem week end I would like to point out some highlights.Good to meet you . see you at Stevenage in a few weeks. Let hope we can keep Andy on the case!!!
The total friendliness of EVERYONE who camped or came to the show. The fact that with my Mayhem Badge on, I received comments, Your Klunk, you're not what I was expecting!! (not sure what they were expecting!!)
To Mr and Mrs Brumstead........who every time I went past their caravan, conned me out of more money! But I did get a very welcome cup of tea!!!
The advice and information imparted willingly.
Meeting the large cuddly bear named Stavros!
getting wet on Saturday, but that did not diminish the atmosphere of all the hardened Mayhemmer's!
Seeing all the wind shredded Gazebo's on Sunday morning before the Public got in and the fact that everone pitched in to get it all sorted quickly.
Meeting and putting faces to all the names on mayhem!
Again thanks to all who came and introduced themselves and a really big thanks to Jack of Palaform, I came, I bought and he built my new hovercraft. It is all finished now and waiting to be test driven.........
Someone in the coffee queue then said, as coolly-as-you-like, "Are there any biscuits to go with the coffee?" >>:-(
The biscuits were there, but on the floor - you just had to reassemble them - not too difficult for the average modeller {-)Yep & the mud just added to the taste.
Yep & the mud just added to the taste. You sure it wants "shorting" would have thought that would kill it for sure.
Hardy lot us hungry boaters, OR maybe not.
Martin if you need any help in shorting out the PA that got broke give me a call. As I run my own PA rig it should not be to hard to fix it up.
Thanks Bill. One of the speakers had the bottom ripped out but that's a woodwork job that Bradders wants to do.Never use them Martin as they don't do the sort of PA sound im into. How ever SMB has a small horn PA set which imsure we could use.
We haven't tested the amp yet but it seems to be in one piece.
Do you have access to PA horns for next year Bill?
I love MEAD, Phil how comes you did not tell me there was MEAD!!!!Here Now i know what Andy was on!!!
high on Luuuuuuuurrrrrvvvveeee! As the Immortal Barry White would say!
the best laugh was when Andy announced that he had had his hair cut, and it cost him£8!!!!!!£8 was only for the gas & air. If he came round our house he could have a hair cut like mine!!
But WHY?
You did say HAIR cut, didnt you?
Bob
Hi Martin. What is the shirt theme for Wicksteed 2011?
Peter.
Intereting idea. My little Jetex boat used to frighten the natives!
Regards,
Vintagent
Ah happy days in Valentine's Park, Ilford.
Regards,
Vintagent
Still no captions, though. For most of us who can't get to these dos, it would be nice to be able to identify models, maybe even people I suppose!
Regards,
Vintagent
