Title: Deep V mono plans?????
Post by: Mark47 on January 04, 2010, 05:05:38 pm
Does anyone know of a web site I can download a set of plans/drawings for a deep V racing offshore mono hull? I'll probably run sub surface, electric powered.

Thanks for any help/info

Mark

I take it with 51 views of the thread, there is no such web site?

Ok, are there any cheap hull and decks out there (lets say £30-£50)?

I'm not looking for something to race with, just something fun and fast for my boy. Self righting will probably be a must.

Relax....... it might take some time before someone with info sees your thread....

I have plans to 2 monos. Both are for petrol and therefore longer than you need. You can scale them as required when printing. I have them as pdf, dxf or pdf pages (broken down into A4 pages) in case you don't have a tiling facility on your printer.

If you want them send me a PM with a good e-mail addy.

Thanks for that, but I don't think you have read the posts properly.

Electric, £30-£50.

I wanted plans to use a load of wood I have lying around before it starts to warp. I do have a few ideas for other boats for myself, but I think something faster than scale boats will keep my sons interest in the hobby longer.

Hi
Although they are not exactly deep V, some of the plans in My Hobby Store may be suitable -

(Top 20 and Navaho look good).
Cheers

Search for WASABI900E.pdf or WASABI1300F.pdf . The first is the 900mm electric version and the second is the 1,3M Gas boat. Plans are by Bas Ladru. The gas boat is available in kit form

Which one, the "leccie" or the "gasser"?

I am going to "do" the small one but put a 46 (7½cc) in it and reduce the frame thickness from 6mm to 3mm plus reduce the frame strength. As drawn it seems miles too heavy for an electric boat in the framing.
Plans should cost £10 (£5 per sheet) - see other threads relating to printing of plans and laser cutting

Doh, Should have worded the question a little better. The first one  WASABI900E.
