Why do people with Skype and a web cam have it turned of whilst they are online.

Its free to use Skype to Skype so it rather defeats the object if you have to ring them first to tell them to turn it on. >>:-( >>:-( Danny.

Don't know,  mine's on 24/7 as i never turn my pooter off i've only used it once or twice for chat with my son no web cam or mic. but most of the time he call hands free from his car while travelling.

Some people are so stupid, they shouldn't be allowed behind a keyboard. 
They forget to turn things on, how they work, what to do with them if they do get them working, etc. etc  >>:-( <*< <*< <*<
