I consider myself to be very lucky to know John. He is one of those rare people who will do anything for anyone without looking for something in it for himself.
I sincerely hope that things go well and all the moderating team here at Mayhem wish you a speedy recovery.

Get well soon POLL.... and leave the nurses alone..... until you're better anyway! :-))

I went to see John yesterday, he was his usual cheerful self. Moaning about the lack of choices on the breakfast menu. I pointed out that this was a hospital and not a hotel. He seems OK in himself but he has been confined to bed rest, they have even tagged him so that he does not wander off.(something I have been trying to get the authorities to do for years.) {-)
He has just phoned and told me that he is being moved to Ward 3, the nurses on ward 4 must have had enough of him already. <*<
He has to undergo a series of test to asses what damage has been done to his heart so the treatment can commence. I offered to supply a paperclip, string, chewing gum (unused), blue tack and superglue, all of which were turned down by the nursing staff.
I am going to visit him tomorrow and will pass on all of your kind wishes and FLJ's comments. I will report back tomorrow with an update.

All the very best for a speedy recovery John from all the guys and galls on "The Model Tug Forum".

Visited John at the hospital today, he seems to be coming on OK. Still waiting for the tests but the doctor has told him the the enzymes released by his heart at the time of the attack show that it was only a mild one. If that is any consolation.
Hopefully after a period of rest and depending on the results from the tests he should make a good recovery. I passed on all of your good wishes. He laughed at FLJ's comments. If there are any further developments i will keep you all informed.

Hello John.
Three years ago I had a Heart Attack, went through the " Why Me" phase - - not over weight etc, just was unlucky!.
Had two Stents fitted, felt a lot better, but very weak.
Started the "Heart Safe" Exercises, twice a week, at first just walking around in a Church Hall.
Then we started to get a bit more strenuous, but, under a lot of supervision and testing, blood pressure heart rate and things.
Soon it all started to get a lot easier to do and got very enjoyable too.
There were about 25 of us, both sexes, lots of frendships were made, and have lasted.
Made me realise just how many folk do have Heart problems and are carrying on with their lives as if nothing like that had ever happened to them.
I know that for certain - - - - I am one of them !!!.
The Number one thing to do is, Do as you are told, When you are told, Dont stop until you are told to !!!!!!!.
I did ALL of these things, my next Medical is NEXT DECEMBER !!.
JayDee. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))

...Hi John...
You know the Saying John...
If you Dont Drink, Gamble. Go With Women, or Build Boats , Then you live longer...
No You Dont...It just Seems Longer...
Just you look after yourself and if you are fit enough we will share a Cuppa and some Banter at Ellesmere Port in March...
...Best Regards...Norry...

I can't believe what lengths people will go to, to get free food and a bed and to be looked after by ladies dressed in a nurses uniform with stockings. So chin up John see you at Ellesmere Port if you need to bring the hospital bed it will make a great tow.
Take care :-))

John has had an operation today and they have fitted 3 stents. He now has 3 open veins also one at 70% and one at 80%.
He will be leaving hospital tomorrow to go home and rest. (ha ha) I have my instructions I have to be at the hospital at 07:30 to pick him up. I am sure he will be back on the forum very soon. He thanks you all for your good wishes (even FLJ).

Pleased to hear you have left a few uniformed young ladies in the hospital for the benefit of others. Take it easy for a while, and, no you cannot use those stents in your next tug, not even for fire monitors.
