Title: Towing Barge Plans Wanted

Hi Folks,

I'll soon be building a Model Slipway Wyeforce kit and require some plans for a towing barge if anyone can send or help with?

Here's a knotched barge I designed that can be towed as well.
The items marked as rudders are in reality skegs

After watching a Vid. on the Kirklees posting, one problem that becomes evident when brick dragging is inertia. One thought was to add a "Drogue", but that can become entangled. The other that springs to mind is a reverse thrusting submarine type drive on the back of the barge to give the tug something to pull against. I know we can't scale nature but the sight of barges catching up the towing vessels when turning or slowing down does tend to spoil the illusion.

Thats a problem with tows that can be easily overcome Ian ,
just fit a skeg (deep keel) under like i did with the pudding pan's  or if its possible a semi fixed rudder which is over proportioned to the tow but can be set from 45-90deg, this also has an advantage if two tows are towed in tandem then the stern's will be kept together by the rudders/skegs and produce drag in the water  :-)) .
