Title: Chunky tyre fenders, where from
Post by: ixion on February 28, 2010, 09:34:51 pm
I am looking for some tyres for fenders that look like the one in this poor cropped picture. Everywhere I look the tyres are just like car tyre tread on them, anyone any ideas please?

Hi Ixion,

I picked up some good tractor tyres at Blackpool last year at Mobile marine models stand. They were about 40-45mm[4' to 4.5' in 1/32nd scale] and only about £1 a pair.Scoonies also do them but a harder rubber and dearer £1.60 each.Tk Max do a 1/32 farm tractor range at about £5.00 [I think] that you could use the tyres from.

Regards

Ron

Check your car boot sales for busted rc off roaders , they have chunky tyres which if they are too wide can be cut in half .
