Title: Arrived in Barrow today.

The Tideway rolling stone arrived in Barrow today for the first of 4 loads of gravel to be taken out into the Irish Sea to lay for a new wind farm.

If you look closely at the superstructure front stbd, you can see the lips & tongue emblem of the Rolling Stones.

This vessel was originally the Super Servant 1.

Forgive the ignorance, but why would anyone want to use this sort of ship to load, transport and then dump a load of gravel? Really, she isn't built for that sort of job. Or is the gravel being stuffed into something else first? Interesting though. BY.

Guess it must have been down to making money?

you can see it looks as though the gravel bunkers have been added to the tank tops.
