Title: HMS Onslow
Post by: John Plum on March 09, 2010, 01:46:28 pm
I am building a model of HMS Onslow, my first attempt using Marine Modelling International plans MAR2254; 1.128th Scale. I have completed the Hull and upper deck structures and I am currently fitting the upper deck with various standard fittings. I have found it very difficult to find the exact size fitting for the scale of model. I intend to make this a running model and have just started to fit the running gear (Rudder, Propeller shaft and motor fitted). I have decided as this is the first model I would only fit one motor and shaft, I don't think the model is wide enough to take two and I am cutting the cost as well.

I would like to hear from anybody who has built a similar model and an expert in what is required to make this model into an RC runner? I have not floated the model yet as I have just painted it, I hope it floats...............

Will add a photo on my next post..............
