hello guys ok2 ok2
My name is Jonh from Greece O0 O0
I want to make .............. I will begin differently I have all motor, prop I will put foto in order to you see what I have
motor robbe power 1000
prop 90mm from robbe odin
ruder a have one from odin
my proplem is what size spinger tugs I need
That forum is very good with good jobs and models :-)) :-))
SORRY BUT MY ENGLISH IS NOT VERRY GOOD <:( <:(
-
Welcome to the forum John
Your English is better than my Greek so do not worry about it
The springer propeller should not be bigger than 38mm (40mm if no one measures it ok2), I do not think a 90mm prop would even fit under a standard springer. The rudder can only be a maximum of 100 square millimetres, I do not know what size Odin had fitted, but with a 90mm prop it will not be too small.
I do not know the comparison between motors but the biggest should be a 550, with a maximum voltage of 7.2volts. If you want to use the parts you have then you will need to scale up a standard springer and make a super springer.
Hope this helps
Brian

I thank despite very for the answer :-)) :-))
from that I have seen in the forum the dimensions springer tugs they is :
length 450mm - 550mm
width 200mm - 250mm
question: I can make him bigger? length 800mm and width 400mm :}
they is very big?? :o

Hi,
The "Springer " is a fixed size / class boat at 18 x 8 inches or 460 x 200mm
www.modelboatmayhem.co.uk/Common/Plans.doc (http://www.modelboatmayhem.co.uk/Common/Plans.doc)
You can build a Springer any size you like but unless it the sizes above it's Springer shaped!
Isn't the Robbe 100 motor a huge thing? I think it the same motor used for starters for IC boats and aircraft.

This extremely high torque (65 Ncm), low rpm, low noise motor, is ideal for direct drives of large and heavy work ships with prop diameters of up to 100 mm.

Hi I think the plans were photo copyed at 150%. I did not make the hull a mate of mine on this forum did ok2

I am guilty of building that one for John.
The plan was resized by 150% to give it 1.5 times normal size.
Here is a pic of my one the same size,it is powered by 2 700BB turbo motors (way to much power)
